Welcome to my site and thanks for checking it out. As for some of my personal background: I was born in the Kingsbridge section of the Bronx. I attended Our Lady of Angels School there and appeared in my first stage production at age 8 in "The King and I". (They wouldn't let me be the king, however, so I setteld for MC!). I briefly attended Cardinal Hayes H.S. and then moved on to De Witt Clinton. Singing and music have been my passions from an early age. I began playing guitar in "63 and was fortunate to be signed to Mercury records in 1965 at age16 with the Bronx's own "The Elegents" as Guitarist/Vocalist. (see "youtube" on this). After a brief stay in Haight-Ashbury during the spring and summer of '67, where I was fortunate to be a part of all that the "Summer of Love" had to offer, I re-located to the East Bay in California in '69 with my mates from the Bronx and our Band "Livingstone Manor" and attended Diablo Valley College there as well. I returned to New York in '73 and was lucky enough to join the musical "Godspell", performing with the National, Bus & Truck and European companies as Guitarist, Vocalist and Percussionist through '76.
An avid "Beatlemaniac" since '63, I was thrilled to appear in the Original Broadway production of "Beatlemania" in '77, allowing me to portray one of my personal heros, George Harrison. I toured with both the National and London Companies and have since worked with various incarnations of the show including "Tribute to The Beatles", "Get Back", "The Beatles Fantasy Reunion", "Beatlemania Now", "Beatlemania, Again" and "Hey Jude". In addition to my musical career, I have studied acting at HB Studios with the legendary Herbert Berghof and Bill Hickey. I have enjoyed appearing on stage as the lead in the musical "42ND Street" as well as in "Frankie & Johnnie in the Cler De Lune" and "The Mousetrap". I can be seen on film in "Goodfellas", "Prizzi's Honor" and "Godfather 3" (see Resume page) as well as in various episodes of the original "Law and Order". I moved to the lovely Hudson Valley in '94 and subsequently began producing the Public Access music TV show "HVTV", Hudson Valley TalentVision, there in Woodstock/Kingston from '98 thru '05 as Producer, Host and Director, and I also hosted the first two "Woodstock Film Festival Seminars".
Please check out my original music! Our recent original EP called "RePete", on which I'm joined by musicians friends who have played with the likes of The Band, Bob Dylan, Todd Rundgren, Van Morrison, Hall & Oates, Leonard Cohen, Bette Midler and Phoebe Snow, showcase tunes that are Counrty Rock, R&B and Americanana in nature and reflect my love of the music I grew up with. This EP includes the single song release "I Buy U.S. Goods" as a bonus track. You can listen to a samples of "RePete" the EP on our music page when you can.
And, for our new 11 song CD, I have re-mastered some cuts from my previous albums; "WWW.ebsters" and "You Were a Friend To Me" and put them together for a great compilation album called (wait for it...) II:RePetes:II ! (what else!)
We hope you will join us in our efforts to promote our slogan, song and page, "I BUY U.S. GOODS"! We have secured the web site "IBUYUSGOODS.com" and we plan to expand it to include advertising local and regional businesses here in order to promote all things made in the good old USA by American workers! We plan to grow this list in the future and we encourage you to help us spread the word!
Thank you so much for visiting and I hope to see you at one of my shows! (see my Calendar page for info)
